The programs are targeted at empowering children with tools that will allow for better quality of life when they become adults.

Need Your Help

According to UNICEF’s publication, Changing the Future of Jamaican Children, an estimated 7,500 children in Jamaica live on the street. Many of these children are forced to find means of survival that oftentimes involve illegal activities. A great number of these street children are orphans, who have nowhere to turn for help. The fate of these street children can determine the fate of Jamaicans, since violent crimes are having a negative effect on the Jamaican economy today. Kira Cares, Inc is a non-profit organization that was founded with these street children in mind.
